Roche Bobois celebrates an iconic design: the OVALIA armchair, created by Danish designer Henrik Thor-Larsen in 1968. The 2026 edition offers a contemporary reinterpretation, featuring six exclusive colors.
Enhanced comfort features include a redesigned backrest angle, a seat supported by elastic webbing, and an integrated headrest, providing a more natural and enveloping seating experience. The armchair creates an immersive personal space, while a concealed magnetic system allows a smartphone to be attached inside the shell, enabling private enjoyment of audio or video content. A distinctive medallion bearing the designer’s name and the edition date certifies the authenticity of each armchair.
Technical Description:
Fiberglass shell. Tufted seat upholstery made of high-resilience polyurethane foam with a density of 35 kg/m³. Tufted backrest upholstery made of dual-density polyurethane foam (30 and 18 kg/m³), with added polyester fiber flakes for lumbar support. Swivel metal base with a satin chrome finish.
